Last week as most of Blount County was still and quiet, I set out on an early morning adventure to deliver papers with Rickey. It just happened to be the first day of spring, and I’m so happy that I got to enjoy nature’s beauty at its finest. The full moon was still high in the sky when we started at 4 a.m. By the time the sun started to peek over the horizon, we were in Snead where the light of both sun and moon filled the sky. There’s just something so peaceful about sitting in silence in awe of this most amazing place that we get to call home. Spring is here in all of its glory. So make some time, even if it’s just a few minutes, to escape the hustle, bustle, and worries of the world to sit in silence and enjoy all this season has to offer. As you’ll see in our special Spring Guide, Blount County is beautiful. Go out and enjoy her beauty!
