Horizon Medical Pediatrics celebrated their fourth anniversary by moving into a new state-of-the-art office space nearly three times the size of their previous office. Now at 2345 Second Avenue East, Suite B, in Oneonta, they are located right next to Walmart’s garden center.

Their hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. They close daily from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch. From October through March, they are usually open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday mornings, but this varies based on demand. You can reach them by calling 205-625-3332.

The new office has several advantages. They can now do x-rays and lab work in-house. The space has both sick and well waiting rooms, as well as a waiting room reserved for patients seeking mental health services, an area of expertise they plan to add to their services in the near future. Most of the staff is bilingual and they have added phone lines to accommodate increased call volume.

The service providers at Horizon Medical Pediatrics include Dr. Tamara Mason and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners Lindsay Davis and Robin Guion. The owners of the clinic, Dr. Muhammad Ata and Dr. Zaheer Khan, practice at offices located elsewhere in northeast Alabama.

Maria Chacon, Horizon’s office manager, said, “The whole purpose of this move was to meet the needs of the community.” Please join the Blount-Oneonta Chamber of Commerce in congratulating Horizon on their fourth anniversary and the relocation and expansion of their facility.
