In roundball action leading up to area tournaments, Oneonta varsity boys won two at home and one on the road. Locust Fork varsity girls split a pair at home.

Oneonta 65, J.B. Pennington 39

The Oneonta Redskins made quick work of the J.B. Pennington Tigers, defeating them by a score of 65-39.

Eric Moore put up 15 points, four rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Jacob Green scored 9 points with three rebounds, an assist, and two steals. Harrison Miller added 9 points, two assists, and a steal in the victory.

Locust Fork 47, Hanceville 38

The Locust Fork Lady Hornets edged a 47-38 victory over the Hanceville Bulldogs despite trailing 12-15 at the end of the first half.

Shelly Bailey had a monster game, putting up 32 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Faith Evans added seven points, four rebounds, an assist, and a steal.

Oneonta 76, St. Clair County 43

The Redskins topped the St. Clair County Saints by a score of 76-43.

Daniel McCary put up 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Harrison Miller added 18 points, two rebounds, and a steal. Moore got 14 points and 10 assists for a double-double, as well as seven rebounds and four steals. Deondre Elliot grabbed 10 points, two rebounds, six assists, and three steals.

Oneonta 80, Locust Fork 64

The Redskins dominated the Locust Fork Hornets, winning by a score of 80-64.

Elliot led the Redskins with 26 points, two rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Moore put up 16 points, five rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. McCary added 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Eli Buse got 10 points, two rebounds, an assist, and a steal.

Locust Fork 42, Oneonta 49

The Lady Hornets fell behind quickly to the Lady Redskins, trailing 17-22 at the half. The Lady Hornets could never quite catch back up, ultimately losing 42-49.

Madison Roy put up 17 points, four rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Bailey added 11 points, four rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Reagan Fuller got eight points and two rebounds.
