Hazelrig/ Sherrer murder case to go to grand jury

The case of three men accused in the murders of Gary Hazelrig, 43, and Breann Sherrer, 36, will be presented to the grand jury when it is called during the last week of October, according to District Attorney Pamela Casey. The paper had previously reported the case would go to the grand jury last week.

Accused in the murders of Hazelrig and Sherrer at a house on Deavers Town Road on Sept. 13 or 14 are Paul Mason Trull, 18, of Pinson; William Lane Bosner, 20, of Cleveland; and Michael Cody Dooley, 32, of Remlap. They were arrested after an anonymous tip led to their being apprehended separately on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29. They remain in custody without bond at the Blount County Correctional Facility.

“We have issued search warrants that are still being worked, but we expect the case to be ready for the grand jury by the end of the month,” said District Attorney Pamela Casey.
