Grateful to all

READER WRITES

The Oneonta Foundation for Educational Resources (OFFER) is very grateful to all of the citizens of Oneonta and Blount County who made this year’s OFFER Christmas Home Tour a big success. First and foremost, sincere thanks go to the homeowners, Frank and Charlotte Langner, Brett and Daniya King, Neal Guthrie, and to the First Baptist Church of Oneonta for providing wonderful venues for the tour. Each property included in the tour was beautifully decorated and presented its own unique aspect of Christmas.

Special thanks go to the members of First Baptist Church of Oneonta who prepared and served delicious refreshments, displayed inspirational versions of nativity sets, and provided music for the tour goers’ enjoyment.

OFFER extends thanks to the Oneonta city School teachers who served as additional hosts and hostesses at the homes. Many thanks, too, to the city-school students who directed traffic and assisted in various ways throughout the hours before and after the tour.

The Blount Countian is thanked for providing complete and comprehensive coverage of the tour for a month prior to the actual tour date. Alpine Advertising, which provided excellent and creative cable coverage promoting the tour and WCRL-WKLD for their timely radio spots covering the tour are thanked as well.

Many thanks go, finally, to all who purchased tickets for the tour. This support will greatly assist students and teachers of Oneonta City Schools in the coming years.
