Gordons celebrate golden anniversary

 

 

Robert “Bob” Arlington Gordon Jr. and Kay Phillips Gordon celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in just a few days. The couple, who calls Rosa home, was married May 19, 1973, at Lester Memorial United Methodist Church in Oneonta.

Bob, son of the late Arlington and Verlie Gordon, attended school at Oneonta. Later, he owned and operated Gordon Dental Lab.

Kay, daughter of the late Rufus and Lydia Phillips, attended school at Sylacauga and later Oneonta. Throughout the years, she worked at Marcum Oil with her brother Bruce Phillips, as well as several boutiques in downtown Oneonta.

Bob and Kay’s family today includes son Christopher Clay Gordon, daughter-in-law Melissa Margaret Gordon, and 9-year-old granddaughter Calla Evelyn Gordon, all of Trussville.
