Laura Roberson has been working on her family’s genealogy, off and on, for 40 years and will be teaching a one-time class to share her expertise.
On Thursday, July 18, at 10 a.m., at the Blount County Memorial Museum, Roberson will discuss how to begin genealogy research including locating original records, organizing information, and documenting genealogy material.
Roberson says the class is geared more toward beginning genealogists, however, she encourages anyone of any level of genealogy knowledge to attend.
“Everyone is welcome because maybe someone knows something you don’t know,” she said. “There is always room for learning.”
Roberson will also discuss websites to research and how to arrange a pedigree chart.
