There have been two additional cases of polio reported in Blount County since that of a six-year-old which was reported three weeks ago.
A three-year-old Blountsville child died in a Florence Hospital last week as a result of the disease. The child was first taken to a Cullman Hospital, where a diagnosis of polio was given, and was later transferred to Florence.
The third case is that of an 8-month-old boy from the Joy Community, who was expected to be given treatment at a Birmingham Hospital.

Masons Install New Officers
Officers of Oneonta Lodge No. 324, A.F. & A.M., for the year 1946-47 were installed Friday evening, July 5th, following their election on June 21st. W.J. Nash Jr., District Lecturer of the Ninth Masonic District made the installation of the following officers: J.W. Belyeu, W.M. Gamble, J.E. Robinette, Birl Brown, Treas., W.M.
