Freddie J. Chamblee

FREDDIE J. CHAMBLEE, 79, Fairview, formerly of Blountsville, died Oct. 26, 2018, at the residence surrounded by his children. He worked as a superintendent for the Blountsville Utility Board and was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church. He loved to sit outside and watch hummingbirds, play Bingo and Solitaire on the computer, and drink coffee, eat and talk with friends at Double B Restaurant. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Predeceasing him are wife Carol “Koot” Chamblee, mother Mary Frances Barnes Chamblee, father Herman Chamblee, stepmother Marie Chamblee, son-in-law Curtis Emery, sister Evelyn Goforth, and twin brother Frankie Junior Chamblee.

Surviving are daughters Pam (Brian) Kress, Norma (John) Pannell; grandchildren Travis (Ashley) Kress, Erin (Zak) Wilson, Savana Pannell (Cole Livingston), Paris Pannell; great-grandchildren Kreslie Wilson, Merritt Kress; nieces and nephews.

Jasson Thomas officiated the 11 a.m. service held Oct. 29 at the Chapel of Blountsville Funeral Home. Burial followed at Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery with Brian Kress, Travis Kress, Zak Wilson, Cole Livingston, John Pannell, and Rodger Leathers serving as pallbearers.
