Several student groups sponsored Oneonta High School’s first-ever Tomahawk Treats at Gilbreath Stadium Monday night in celebration of Halloween.

Head football coach Don Jacobs came up with the idea to host the Trunk or Treat as a way to share with the community and to give kids’ families a fun and safe place to celebrate Halloween. The event was sponsored by the football team, cheerleaders, band, and softball team. Students did all the decorating.

“We just wanted to give back to the community because they’ve done so much for us. We wanted to make it fun for the elementary students,” said football player Walker Musso.

The evening was so big a success it just may become an annual event.
