West Blount Fire and Rescue Committee members are conducting a final campaign to support the fire and medical services district referendum that will appear on the Nov. 4 ballot. They ”are going door to door…answering any and all questions concerning the proposed fire district,” Tim Sosebee wrote in an informative notice on the group’s efforts.
All volunteers representing the group will be wearing a photo ID badge so they will be recognizable as official spokespersons for the fire department. He said that as a fundraiser, the group is offering family/individual photo packages for $10. The photos will be taken at Hayden United Methodist Church, Nov. 15 and 16.
Those with questions or who want a photo packet should contact the West Blount Fire Department, 647-4566; Delores Fort, 647-3889; or Tim Sosebee, 568-0076.
The West Blount Fire and Rescue Department will hold its monthly board meeting Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Hayden Community Center on county road 7 near the fire station at 7 p. m.
“All fire board meetings are open to the public,” Sosebee said. “We encourage everyone to attend and participate, especially those with questions or concerns with the proposed West Blount Fire and Emergency Medical Services District.”
