91, Springfield, Tenn., died Sept. 2, 2012, at North Crest Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Blount County to William Arthur and Anna Elizabeth Vaughn Sims, both of whom predeceased her. She was a member of the Unity Free Will Baptist Church and was retired from Southeastern Steel Container Co. Mrs. Beshears played guitar for the Lack Sisters Gospel Trio from Russellville, Ky., and loved sewing and reading. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by husband Arvel E. Beshears; daughter Shirley Jean Beshears; brother Clarence Sims; and sister Dorothy Stephenson.
Surviving are son James Arvel (Bonnie) Beshears, Panama City, Fla., daughter Linda (Ervin) Brown, Springfield, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers Ray Sims and Coy Sims, both of Oneonta; sisters Maebell Tidwell and Laura Blair, both of Oneonta.
Chapel services were held Sept. 4 at Robertson County Funeral Home. Burial was at noon Sept. 5 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Snead. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
