Era Mae Worthington

ERA MAE WORTHINGTON, 82, Hendrix, died July 24, 2016, in South Carolina. She was a member of Locust Fork Church of God and enjoyed cooking, working in her flowers, and camping. Parents Jim and Eva Alldredge Latta predeceased her, as did husband Willard Worthington, brother Wayne Latta, and sisters Alma Baker and Louise Leigeber Green.

Surviving are daughters Dorothy (George) Gurganus, Hanceville, Kay Worthington Tapley, Oneonta; son David Worthington, Oneonta; grandchildren Lisa Gurganus, Allen Garner Jr., Myra Martin, Georgiana Leigh-McDuff, Carla Leak, David Heath Hogeland, Miranda Neeley; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters Faye Grimmett, Hendrix, Linda (Leon) Beasley, Snead; brothers Ed (Pat) Latta, Berry Mountain, Virgil (Charlotte) Latta, Susan Moore, Cecil (Linda) Latta, Oneonta, Tommy (Charlotte) Latta, Hendrix.

Nellon Smith officiated the 1 p.m. service held July 29 at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel. Serving as pallbearers were Mark Helton, Larry Jackson, Gary Leigeber, Mickey Latta, Phillip Grimmett, and Jimmy Latta.
