The night of the Oneonta/Susan Moore football game Friday, Oct. 29, will be a special one for all who fight against breast cancer. The two teams will honor breast cancer survivors by making them “honorary” team captains at the game, to be held at Oneonta’s Gilbreath Stadium. Pink balloons, which can be purchased for $1 each, will be released in honor/memory of those who have been a part of this battle. Donation buckets will also be available for those who would like to make monetary gifts for the prevention and cure of breast cancer. All such donations will go into a fund at St. Vincent’s Blount to help in early detection and treatment. AND, to show your support, WEAR PINK AT THE GAME. For more information or to sign up as a honorary team captain, call 625-3801 or contact Karen Cook at indiacook23@yahoo.com.
