We want to thank and recognize the Blount EMS Ambulance Service for the wonderful job they did when responding to our 911 call on Jan. 15.
The 911 call from the home of Phil Crider was made Jan. 15, 2011. The response from the EMS team came within very few minutes.
The assessment and decision to airlift Phil to UAB Hospital in Birmingham saved his life. Phil suffered a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. This is a lifethreatening condition with only a 25 percent survival rate. Due to the time of the EM response, the doctors were able to save Phil’s life.
We are so thankful for God sending this team to our call, and we are so thankful for the wonderful care he received while at UAB for 11 days. Thank you for all the prayers from our friends, family, prayer chains, our pastor, and our church family from Oneonta First Baptist Church.
As a special thank you, we are enclosing the following poem written by my sister.
