SUSAN MOORE ELEMENTARY will have kindergarten and new student registration today from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., at the school. Guardians must provide student’s birth certificate, Social Security card, proof of immunization ‘blue card,’ proof of residence – deed, lease, utility bill, etc..

ONEONTA CITY SCHOOLS announces the following important dates: Wednesday, July 26, schedule pickup for grades 6-12 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (6th graders must provide two proofs of residence – deed, lease, utility bill – in order to pick up schedule, excluding out-of-district students.); Thursday, July 27, and Friday, July 28, schedule change from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for grades 6-12; Wednesday, Aug. 2, new student registration from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Aug. 8, open house from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., kindergarten orientation from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., grades 1-5 orientation from 3 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., grades 6-8 orientation 4 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., 9th grade orientation from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday, Aug. 10, first day of school for students.

LOCUST FORK ELEMENTARY announces the following important dates: Monday, July 31, new student registration is between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Guardians must provide student’s birth certificate, Social Security card, proof of immunization ‘blue card,’ proof of residence – deed, lease, utility bill, etc., – and medical forms if student requires medication during school hours; Thursday, Aug. 3, open house with a parent information meeting from 5 p.m. until 5:45 p.m., and ‘meet the teacher’ afterwards until 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 9, first day of school for all Blount County schools. APPALACHIAN SCHOOL announces the following important dates: Monday, July 24, senior registration from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., junior registration from 10:30 a.m. until noon, sophomore registration from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.; Wednesday, July 26, ninth grade registration from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., eighth grade registration from 10:30 a.m. until noon, seventh grade registration from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.; Thursday, July 27, new student registration from 9 a.m. until noon; Monday, Aug. 7, from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. is ‘meet the teacher’ for kindergarten through sixth grade. Students are required to bring proof of residence (current utility bill, lease agreement, deed, etc.) to register and new students must also bring proof of immunization ‘blue card’ and records from the previous school. Lockers/ postage for high school students are $14 per year and a parking pass is $10.
