Edsel ‘Pop’ Box

EDSEL ‘POP’ BOX, 79, Oneonta, died May 21, 2020. He was co-owner of Gibson & Box Autobody Shop and worked for Jimmy Smith Chevrolet and Valley Ford. He was an avid hunter, a farmer, and loved being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Predeceasing him were wife June Box, son Keith Hoagland, brother James Wayne Box, and parents James Theadore and Adele Creel Box.

Surviving are children Helen Edwards, Deborah Hadaway, Ronnie Box, Jimmy Lynn Box, Tracey (Brad) Clifton, Steve (Teresa) Hoagland; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three siblings; a host of nieces and nephews.

Haskel Adamson officiated the 2 p.m. service held May 23 at the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home. Burial followed at Blount Memory Cemetery with Jason Campbell, Josh Hoagland, Aston Hadaway, Dale Dickie, Danny Dickie, and Steve Martin serving as pallbearers.
