Trafford, died May 3, 2014, at St. Vincent’s East Hospital, Birmingham. He attended Union Hill Church of the Nazarene, was a former member of Blount County Saddle Club, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Welti for many years. Predeceasing him were parents J.H. and Myrtle Bonner Almon, wife Willie Sue Casey Almon, and brother Elvin Lewis Almon.
Surviving are son Guy Wayne ( Jayne) Almon, Oskaloosa, Iowa; grandchildren Nicole Richards, Shane Adams, Anthony Adams, Jeremy Adams, Brittney Adams, Courtney Adams; sisters Marie King ( Wendell) Copeland, Cullman, Jackie Elizabeth (Marshall) Patton, Smyrna, Ga., Rhonda Susan Castelli, North Carolina.
Odis Epps officiated the 2 p.m. service held May 7 at Union Hill Church of the Nazarene. Burial was at the adjoining cemetery with Mike Casey, Kelly Casey, Dean Richards, Mark Anthony Adams, Jeremy Adams, and Dennis Buckner serving as pallbearers. Lemley Funeral Home directed.
