DOWNTOWN YARD SALE

All smiles despite the heat

Drew and Gabby Clem seem to be enjoying last Saturday’s downtown yard sale – even on a day when the thermometer was well into the 90s. Lots of bargain hunters moved up and down Oneonta’s Main Street looking for the best deals they could find on everything from children’s clothes to electronics and collectibles. The concession vendors were kept busy – especially those selling cold drinks and shaved ice. One special note – even with the heat, the ribeye steak sandwiches sold by the Blount County Cattlemen were exceptionally tasty. The event was sponsored by the Downtown Business Association. –Rob Rice
