DOROTHY ‘DOT’ SUE MCGINNIS HUFFSTUTLER, 79,



Remlap, died June 30, 2013, at the residence. She graduated from Blount County High School in 1952, worked as a waitress for Round the Clock Restaurant, and was a member of Pleasant Mount Baptist Church. Predeceasing her were parents Foster Elliott and Lona Pearl Street McGinnis, husband Roland Earl Huffstutler, son Roland Earl Huffstutler II, and sister Joan Parrish.

Surviving are sons John Michael (Katha) Huffstutler, Odenville, Eric Huffstutler, Pine Mountain; daughter Deborah (Mike C.) Powell, Pine Mountain; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Nadine (Neal) Perrin, Odenville, Glenda (Bobby) Burton, Birmingham; brother Elliott McGinnis, Trussville.

Glenn Bynum and Bud Swindall officiated the 1 p.m. service held July 3 at Pleasant Mount Baptist Church. Burial was at the adjoining cemetery with Jeremy Taylor, Christopher Hughes, Donald Tucker, Jeremy Ganus, and A.J. Buettner serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer was Lynn Parrish. Lemley Funeral Home directed.
