The Donoho Falcons proved their No. 4 ranking in Class 1A was well deserved in a 48-0 thrashing of visiting Appalachian last Friday night.
Donoho got a 75-yard touchdown on the return of the opening kick and never looked back.
With the Appalachian offense struggling to get anything going against the Falcon defense, Donoho added scores on three touchdowns on offense and an interception return from the defense to build a 42-0 halftime lead.
The Appalachian defense held Donoho to just 294 yards of offense with 250 coming on the ground, but the Eagles mustered just 109 yards and turned the ball over four times.
Appalachian got a solid game from Blake Gladden, who finished with 40 yards rushing on 10 carries and three receptions for 29 yards.
Appalachian (1-8) closes the season at West End (1-8) Thursday night.
