Oneonta, died June 5, 2013, at St. Vincent’s East Hospital, Birmingham. Known as a kind and giving person, she was an interpreter for deaf children. She was predeceased by parents Charles Edward and Ruth M. Morgan Hicks; daughter Dana Klarr; brother Montey Hicks; and sister Tita Hicks.

Surviving are sons Joe ( Tracy) Gammicchia Jr., Oneonta, and Jack ( Tina) Klarr, Roseville, Mich.; daughters Carrie Gammicchia ( John) August, Mobile, and Angeli Klarr (Dan) Thompson, Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Tina (David) Tackus, Flint, Mich.
