DAR Good Citizen Awards

Each year, the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) sponsors an annual Good Citizen Award Scholarship Program for high school seniors who have demonstrated the qualities of good citizenship: dependability, truthfulness, loyalty, service, cooperation, courtesy, leadership, and patriotism. The students selected by faculty and peers are in a unique group of people.

The winners were honored recently at a program and reception given by the local Warrior Rivers Chapter of the DAR. Parents and school counselors were also in attendance.

DAR is an organization with a rich history, founded 125 years ago. Learn more about the DAR and what members are doing today to continue that legacy at dar.org.
