County basketball tourney concludes tomorrow

The Susan Moore Lady Bulldogs held on to their number two ranking for Class 3A in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association poll. They finished up area play last Friday with their 74-24 win over Brindlee Mountain. They are a perfect 6-0 in Class 3A Area 13 with a 22-2 record overall. The Susan Moore varsity boys’ finished up area play with a 4-2 record. A Holly Pond win over Brindlee Mountain Friday night would leave Susan Moore and Brindlee Mountain tied for the number one seed going into the area tournament.

In Class 4A, the Oneonta Lady Redskins remained number eight in the ASWA poll. They sit at number two in Class 4A Area 11. Good Hope holds the top spot. Despite the loss to Good Hope Friday night, the Oneonta Redskin varsity boys remain in first place.
