The last day to register to vote in municipal elections is Monday, Aug. 8. The paper last week erroneously reported that deadline to be Aug. 10. The date has been changed one or more times since it was first announced earlier in the year. Those who are already registered to vote in national, state, and county elections (and have not moved or changed your name since the last time you voted) do not need to re-register. If you need to register to vote, you may do so at the Board of Registrar’s office located in the basement at the courthouse. Or you may register online by going to AlabamaVotes.com., clicking on “Electronic Voter Registration” and following the prompts.
Ann Garrison Sullins’s name was incorrectly transcribed under Place 5 in the Snead section of last week’s article on municipal elections. It was shown as Sullivan.
