CITY OF ONEONTA has rescheduled the Tuesday, Dec. 25, council meeting to tomorrow, Dec. 27, at 5:30 p.m.

BLOUNT COUNTY DHR will have an open house for those interested in becoming foster parents or volunteers on Tuesday, January 8, from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. Social workers and supervisors will be available to answer questions.

THE BLOUNT COUNTIAN Our offices are closed today, Dec. 26. We will have normal business hours tomorrow and Friday. We will open until noon on Monday, Dec. 31, and will close on Tuesday, Jan. 1. All material for the Jan. 2 issue of the paper is due by Thursday, Dec. 27, at 4:30 p.m.

THE CRISIS CENTER serves individuals who have experienced sexual assault and offers medical exams, counseling, and advocacy. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., with additional hours provided as needed. Individuals who have experienced sexual assault may reach the Crisis Center at any time via the Rape Response hotline at 323-7273, or during business hours at 202 2nd Avenue West, Oneonta.

DIVORCECARE BLOUNT COUNTY has sessions at First Baptist Church Oneonta, 300 3rd Ave. E. Separation and divorce can be a difficult time for families, especially children. DivorceCare 4 Kids, geared toward ages 5-12, whose parents are separated or divorced, is also offered. LIGHTS AND SANTA AT PALISADES PARK The public is invited to drive through for the 18th Annual Christmas Lights in the Park between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. through Dec. 31. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.
