HAYDEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL third- and fourth-graders will perform ‘A Christmas Carol’ tomorrow, Dec. 20, at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults; school-age children are free.

LIGHTS AND SANTA AT PALISADES PARK The public is invited to drive through for the 18th Annual Christmas Lights in the Park between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. any night in December except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.

Santa will be at the cottage for photos from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, and Saturday, Dec. 22. ONEONTA PUBLIC LIBRARY English as a Second Language class is tomorrow, Dec. 20, at 4:30 p.m.

The library will be closed Dec. 22 through Dec. 25 for Christmas.

THE CRISIS CENTER serves individuals who have experienced sexual assault and offers medical exams, counseling, and advocacy. DOG FOSTER FAMILIES NEEDED Crossing Paths Animal Rescue finds homes for hundreds of Blount County dogs every year. Dogs can be saved if there are foster homes to house them for a short time. Contact Mary Ellen at 559-7648 if you are interested in being foster parents to a homeless dog. All food and medical care is provided while the dog is in foster care. ‘FIX YOUR MAMA’ is a spay/neuter program with Crossing Paths Animal Rescue for Blount County residents who need financial assistance to fix female dogs or cats and male pit bulls or pit mixes. A $25 fee covers the surgery and a rabies vaccination. Financial assistance is available. There are a limited number of appointments.
