MATTHEW TYLER GOBLE of Blountsville was named to the spring 2009 Dean’s List at Huntingdon College in Montgomery. An accounting major, he is among those who achieved semester averages of 3.6 to 3.79. Founded in 1854, Huntingdon is a coeducational liberal arts college, and its campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.



GADSDEN STATE GRADUATES The spring 2009 graduating class at Gadsden State Community College includes the following Blount County residents: Altoona – David Finch, Steven Gibson, Bonnie Moore, Stacey Riddle, Lacey Thompson, and Benjamin Watson; Blountsville – James Rutherford; Horton – Elena Burks and Rebekah Ford; Oneonta – Timothy Weston.

GADSDEN STATE HONOREES Fulltime Blount County students who were named to the 2009 spring semester President’s List at Gadsden State Community College for earning all A’s in college level courses were John Benefield, Timothy Blakely, and Amanda Hensley, of Altoona; Tracy Edmonds of Hayden; Eva Rivera and Kelly Smith of Oneonta. Full-time students who earned all A’s and B’s at Gadsden State for the same semester and were named to the Dean’s List were Brandon Arnold, Betina Beasley, Courtney Brand, Melissa Bryant, Britnee Dillard, Logan Harrelson, Josh Morrison, Telena Sprayberry, and Lacey Thomas, all of Altoona; Melissa Frasier, Tyler King, Stephanie Mayo, and Ashton Smith, all of Oneonta.
