Cleveland students ace grad exam



 

 


Cleveland High School tenth-grade students pose with principal Denise Martin (center) to celebrate their $100 prizes for placing tops in the state in the Alabama High School Graduation Exam USA TestPrep SMACKDOWN contest. Marvin Milner (right) placed first in the state with 121,500 points and 228 practice tests passed. Katelyn Shostak earned 53,000 points in the contest and passed all parts of the graduation exam on her first attempt. These students represent seven students across the county who fared very well in the contest, sponsored by the Blount County Board of Education to assist students in preparing for the exam. Cleveland High School placed first in the state and Hayden placed second in the number of practice tests passed by students.
