SINGINGS

NEW HOME #1 MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH will have Chosen Generation as the special singing group for the monthly singing Sunday, Nov. 27, at 1:30 p.m. Tommy Riggs is pastor. Verbon Lancaster is song chairman. Everyone is welcome. Lunch will be served after morning service.

SPECIAL EVENTS

PARK AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH will host Christmas open house for parade-goers Thursday, Dec. 1. Hot chocolate, coffee, soup, cornbread, and cookies will be shared. Restrooms will be available. Go by, warm up, and enjoy the church’s hospitality. Doors will open at 4:30. The parade begins at 7 p.m.

COMMUNITY CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN, Ala 79, 3 miles south of Cleveland, will present its annual live Nativity Sunday, Dec. 4, at 5:30 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served between programs. “This will truly make a difference in your Christmas spirit.”

TURNING POINT UNITED METHODIST United Methodist Women, Locust Fork, will present its annual Quilt Walk Saturday, Dec. 3, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Some quilts will be on display, others for sale; white elephant sale, arts and crafts (vendors wanted, no charge), car show (weather permitting), door prizes for visitors.
