PHILADELPHIA BAPTIST invites all to celebrate the season there on Sunday, Dec. 19. The Sanctuary Choir will present the musical “O Holy Night” during morning worship service at 11. This Christmas presentation is filled with classic carols and hymns, along with stirring new songs. That evening at 6 the Wee Kids Choir will sing holiday selections, and the Jesus Singers Children’s Choir will perform “Follow the Star,” a musical that tells why the Wise Men sought the Christ child and why we still do today. PHILADELPHIA BAPTIST (Oneonta) and PLEASANT MOUNT BAPTIST (Remlap) thank everyone who participated and contributed toward the benefit dinner and concert Dec. 4 to help with medical expenses of Mallory Page Brown, 23, victim of a massive stroke. CALVARY EPISCOPAL, 1002 Park Avenue, Oneonta, invites everyone to the celebration of Twelfth Night Tuesday, Jan. 4, between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Admission is free. The event will include performances by local talent, displays of artworks in various media, and refreshments served in the congregation’s parish hall. Twelfth Night signifies the conclusion of the Christmas season and is an opportunity for merrymaking, thanksgiving, and welcoming Epiphany’s Wise Men along with the new year.
BLOUNTSVILLE ANGEL TREE will again this year benefit children from the Blountsville area. Residents are invited to select an angel from the tree at Blountsville Town Hall.
