MOUNTAIN GROVE BAPTIST, on county road 47, Blountsville, will have the Blu-Grace Quartet as special guests for its singing Saturday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. Earl Young and Milo Hamm, singing chairmen, invite all to attend.

COMMUNITY CUMBERLAND PRESBYTERIAN will have a special singing Sunday, Sept. 12, featuring the Gloryfield Singers of Cullman. Lunch will be served at 12 noon, and the singing will begin at 1:30 p.m. The church is located in Allgood, three miles south of Oneonta on Ala 75.

REVIVALS JONES CHAPEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST will have revival services at 7 p.m. through Sept. 10. Evangelist is David Hopper, and pastor is Sammy Blakely.

AUTUMNWOODS CHURCH at Dailey’s Chapel welcomes all to fall revival services at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, and at 7 p.m. the following Monday through Wednesday. Evangelist is Carl Cureton from Missouri. Come hear God’s man preach His word.

REDEEMERS REFUGE will have a “Power in the Blood” rally Sept. 20 through Sept. 26 in the red/white tent on Ala 75 in Oneonta, across from Hometown Bank. SPECIAL EVENTS GRACE FELLOWSHIP ALLIANCE invites all to participate in its 70th-year anniversary celebration Sunday, Sept. 19, when a special service looking backward and forward is planned at 10 a.m. A gospel singing featuring the Tableland Quartet and others will follow at 1:30 p.m. For further information on both events, call interim pastor Ralph R. CALVARY EPISCOPAL, on Sunday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m., will present organist Samuel Burke Jr. in recital at the historical Hinners-Zimmer-Hand pipe orgran situated in the church’s nave. The public is invited to the musical event and to a reception to follow in the parish hall.

Samuel Burke Jr. is the son of Sam and Mary Logan Burke of Rosa. He is organist at Grace Episcopal Church, Cullman, and a member of the Birmingham chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He holds degrees from Birmingham-Southern College and Westminster Choir College, Princeton, N.J. Burke has served as musician for churches in Alabama and in North Carolina and has been employed by public broadcasting studios WHQR in Wilmington, N.C., and WBHM in Birmingham.

The accomplished organist is a member of Calvary Church and served as consultant for the procurement and installation of the organ, a gift from The Chapel of The Cross, Chapel Hill, N.C. The recital will celebrate the eighth birthday of Calvary Episcopal Church. The church is located at 1002 Park Avenue, Oneonta, and visible from Ala 75 behind the old Blount Memorial Hospital.
