Calvary Episcopal Church is sharing with the community the money paid by buyers of barbecue butts in its annual sale, proceeds from earlier sales having paid off the church’s property debt. Members are grateful to be able to contribute $725 to Blount County Children’s Center and $725 to Oneonta Senior Center. They have allocated $500 to the church benevolence fund and $500 to the community Twelfth Night observance they plan for January. That observance follows Epiphany, which marks the revelation to the Wise Men of the divinity of the Christ Child.
