In light of the governor’s shelter in place order and current guidelines and recommendations to prevent further spread of the coronavirus, many local churches are using untraditional ways to share with thier communities.

COMMUNITY HOLY WEEK SERVICES continue through Friday, April 10, at noon. Pastors from different churches in Oneonta will share an Easter week message. Services will be streamed live from Lester Memorial United Methodist Church. Search “Lester Memorial UMC” on YouTube or click on the link at www.lester-memorial.org.

PINE GROVE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH Spring revival will be broadcast on Facebook Live Monday, April 13, through Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m. There will be no congregational meetings. Jeff Logan is evangelist. Randy Hale is pastor.

HENDRIX BAPTIST CHURCH Revival scheduled to begin April 15 has been cancelled.

MT. CARMEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH Spring revival scheduled to begin April 20 has been cancelled.

LAKEVIEW BAPTIST and STRAIGHT MOUNTAIN BAPTIST will conduct services via Facebook Live at this time, including an Easter sunrise service on Sunday, April 12, at 6 a.m.

ONEONTA CHURCH OF GOD is collecting items for its care basket ministry. Baskets are delivered to elderly and immune-compromised people in the community. Toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and non-perishable food items are needed.
