FRIENDSHIP FREE WILL BAPTIST CHURCH will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 10, with worship at 11 a.m., lunch at noon, and singing at 1:30 p.m. Guest singers will be Surrendered from Gadsden.

GREEN’S CHAPEL CHURCH will have a yard/bake sale on Friday, Sept. 8, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 9, from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the large shed across from the cemetery, rain or shine. Location is 34600 Ala 79. All proceeds benefit church and community outreach.

CALVARY EPISCOPAL CHURCH has a food pantry ministry the fourth Sunday of each month, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Dry beans and rice will be given away on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.

BLOUNTSVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH has the Wonderful Wednesday program for kindergarten through sixth grade with a light meal at 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. for grades 7-12 followed by Bible studies and activities until 7:30 p.m. No Wonderful Wednesday when school is out.
