ONEONTA SECOND BAPTIST invites all former members and pastors to help celebrate the church’s 50 years of service to Christ Sunday, Oct. 2. Services begin at 9:45 followed by lunch around noon and then singing in the afternoon.

FIRST BAPTIST ONEONTA invites everyone to revival services Sunday, Oct. 9, at 10:15 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. Dr. Ted Traylor will be the evangelist and Rick Stone will lead the music. Special emphasis will be given a group each night: youths on Sunday night; senior adults, Monday; children, Tuesday; entire church, Wednesday. A senior-adult luncheon will be served at noon Monday and a pastors’ luncheon at noon Tuesday. Phone 625-3191 to make luncheon reservations. The church is at 300 Third Avenue East. The church continues its series of free classes titled “A Biblical View of Money” taught by Frank Horton, CPA, at 9 a.m. in the church fellowship hall on Sundays Oct. 2, 9, 23, 30, and Nov. 6.

MOUNTAIN VIEW BAPTIST, off Cliff Springs Road on Straight Mountain, and pastor Jerry Epps invite everyone to homecoming Sunday, Oct. 2. Robert Womble will be guest speaker at 11:00, church women will provide lunch. Guest singers will finish the day with an old-fashioned church singing. Everyone is invited to enjoy a day of worship and reuniting with old friends and family.
