Christmas spirit on display

Downtown Oneonta storefronts, including Hammer’s, are bright and bustling with the Christmas spirit this holiday season. Many different styles, colors, trees, and figurines are on display in hopes of not only providing a beautiful site for those passing by, but also to win the first-ever Oneonta Business Association Storefront Decorating Contest. A total of 20 businesses and organizations have entered the contest. All entries are featured on the OBA’s Facebook page, along with their locations and photos. The People’s Choice winner can be voted for by visiting the OBA website, www.oneontabusinessassociation.com. Winners will be announced Saturday, Dec. 7, at 9 a.m., in front of the Santa Station at 105-A 3rd Street North. First place will receive $500; second place, $250; third place, $150; and people’s choice, $100. – Nicole Singleton
