Fall officially arrived yesterday bringing some very welcome cooler weather. It also means it’s time for pumpkin harvesting. Whited Farms recently posted a picture of this colossal pumpkin grown by their friends at J. Calvert Farms in neighboring Dodge City.

The pumpkin was not weighed, so the exact size is unknown; it did take three grown men to harvest it. Just imagine how many pumpkin pies this thing could make!

Channel your inner Charlie Brown and check out the variety of ornamental and edible pumpkins for sale at Whited Farms and other produce stands throughout the county. Other fall events
