BLOUNT COUNTY MEMORIAL MUSEUM is searching for photographs of the Red Hill area in Oneonta (500 Second Street South). The book Along the Way: A Photographic Journey by author and photographer Larry Clowdus of Oneonta is for sale at the museum. Harold Cleveland of Oneonta donated the book King’s Mountain and Its Heroes: History of the Battle of King’s Mountain, October 7, 1780, and the Events Which Led To It. Sandra Arnold Murray, Oneonta High School graduate, donated several Tomahawk yearbooks from OHS. In addition, Mary Jane McGowan donated the first yearbook of Southeastern Elementary School. Anyone interested in donating yearbooks from area high schools may contact Rhudy at the Museum. The public is always welcome to view the museum’s yearbook collection during regular hours.
