UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL ALABAMA is seeking volunteers to serve on the Visiting Allocations Team (VAT) during the 2020 Allocations Process. VAT volunteers review all partner agencies funded through UWCA’s annual campaign.Responsibilities include: committing to 10 to 12 hours during September and October; attending and actively participating in team meetings and agency site visits (all done virtually); reviewing agency programs and accomplishments; working with other volunteers to make program assessments and recommendations. REPUBLIC SERVICES Residential garbage is at an all time high volume. Many trash cans are filled to the top and “coned” over. Republic Services asks that customers bag all garbage to prevent spillage. Trash cans blocked by cars parked on streets leave trucks no access to trash cans. Drivers are not allowed out of trucks at this time for their protection.
