BOBBIE ANN FREEMAN HYATT, 93, Snead, died March 20, 2021. Born Dec. 22, 1927, she earned a B.S. degree from Athens College, an M.S. degree from Peabody College, and pursued additional studies at Southwest Seminary. She taught business education at J.B. Pennington, Fairview, Douglas, and Susan Moore high schools and Snead State Community College. She served as secretary at First Baptist Church in Old Hickory, Tenn., and First Baptist Church in Huntsville. Predeceasing her were husband James W. Hyatt; parents William Marvin and Lily Wright Freeman; siblings Gladys Freeman, Joel Freeman, and Randall Freeman; and nephew Robert Freeman.
Surviving are great-nephew Brian Freeman, great-niece Tricia (Joyle) Walthall, and numerous cousins and former students.
Robbie Burtram officiated funeral services held March 23 at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home with Amy Burtram providing special music. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with John Gentry, Danny Morton, Lee Morton, Alan Smith, Phillip Smith, David Copeland, Dennis Maze, Robert Wright, and Alan Haynes serving as pallbearers.
