This Saturday, one of the state’s most delightful and colorful festivals kicks off right in our own backyard. Close to a thousand varieties of gorgeous, brilliantly colored daylilies will be on full display – and for sale!
That’s the concept behind Bloom-N-Pie Days – more daylily varieties than you’ve ever seen presented for your enjoyment amongst an acre or so of Dunn’s Daylily Garden at 2395 Skyball Road in Hayden.
For their 18th annual event, the Dunns have a new bed of 500 ready-to-dig plants along with potted daylilies and hydrangeas. Six yummy flavors of their delicious homemade fried pies will be sold.
So head on over to visit, shop, and eat a pie or two between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on June 13, or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 20. This year’s drawing will be one nice grand prize from entries of both Saturdays. You don’t have to be present to win.
To get to Dunn’s Daylily Garden, follow the Bloom-N-Pie Days signs from U.S. 231 between Cleveland and Blountsville.
