The Oneonta Business Association hosted the Second Annual Super Chili Bowl Cook Off on Saturday at Park Avenue Baptist Church, and Laurie Bailey, of Oneonta, won first place and received $200. Second place and $100 went to Shawn and Jennifer Meeks, of Hayden, and Mary Nell Henderson, of Oneonta, took home third place and $50. Becky Hicks, of Oneonta, was voted ‘People’s Choice’ and ‘Best Table Decor’ by the event’s attendees and was awarded $50. ‘We’d like to thank Rev. Odis Epps and Park Avenue Baptist Church for allowing us to hold the event in their Family Life Center, and our judges – Ed Berry and Johnny and Lou Evans,’ said OBA member and Chili Cookoff chairperson Patti Williams. ‘We also appreciate our event sponsors, Creative Framing & Trophy, Treasures on Main, Klassy K-9 & Sassy Kat, Carl Dalton NeSmith, and PMW Communications. We would also like to thank our volunteers. The OBA is a non-profit, volunteer-operated organization, and we couldn’t do without those who give so much of their personal time to ensure the success of our events.’ For more information, visit oneontabusinessassociation.com.
