Last week al.com released its list of Alabama’s best 101 prep athletes during the 2018-2019 school year. Coming in at No. 48 is Hayden’s Savannah Woodard.
Woodard, who graduated in May and will continue her softball career at the University of Alabama, belted 13 home runs with 91 hits, 15 doubles, and 81 runs last season. She was also 27-27 on stolen bases with a .507 batting average producing 2.3 runs per game and a .571 on-base percentage.
This was the latest in many accolades for Woodard as she wrapped up her senior year and championship season with the Lady Wildcats. Woodard was named the 2019 Pitcher of the Year by the Alabama Sportswriters Association as well as being named to the Class 5A first team and being recognized as one of the Super 10 softball players in the state.
