A BENEFIT DINNER AND CONCERT

will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Oneonta, to raise funds to help with medical expenses for Mallory Paige Brown, 24, daughter of Byron and Donna Alldredge and Byron Brown. Mallory suffered a massive stroke Sept. 26, 2010, and spent three weeks in the neuro intensive care unit at UAB Hospital, followed by more than three weeks at Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital. She is currently in a care facility and has made some progress, being now able to blink her eyes on command, smile, and squeeze her hands. Mallory, a senior at Jacksonville State University, and her parents are long-time members of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Pleasant Mount Baptist Church of Remlap is partnering with the PBC church family in the fundraising effort to help support her continued care and therapy.

The dinner will begin at 5 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. On the menu are catfish, chicken fingers, french fries, coleslaw, hushpuppies, dessert, and drinks. Donations will be taken at the door and during the concert to follow at 7 p.m. featuring the PBC sanctuary choir, the Union Hill Quartet, Larry Tidwell and the Bridgebuilders, and other local talent. Those who cannot attend may send donations to the Mallory Brown Fund at Philadelphia Baptist Church, P.O. Box 781, Oneonta, AL 35121. For more information, call 446-0462 or visit www.philadelphia
