BUDDY CLOVER
BUDDY GLOVER, age 83, of One- onta, lived a life filled with love, ded- ication, and joy. Born into the loving care of Ira and Geda Glover in Jones Chapel, Buddy grew up surrounded by a supportive family. On July 26, 1959, he exchanged vows with the love of his life, Ann Bryant Glover, embarking on a journey of 64 years of unwavering devotion.
As a father, Buddy poured his heart into raising his children, Glenn (Sonya) Glover and Sherry (Ed) Parrish, instilling in them the values of love, kindness, and resilience. De- spite the sorrow of losing his beloved children, Jennifer Glover and Greg Glover, who is survived by his spouse Tawnya Glover, Buddy's love for fam- ily remained unwavering. His grand- children, Brandon (Hope) Glover and Ryan (Jessy) Glover, and great-grand- children, Katelyn, Bailey, Caleb, Andrew, Caysen, and Olivia Glover, brought immeasurable joy and pride to his life, forming a cherished bond that would last a lifetime.
Buddy is survived by his broth-
er Allen (Von) Glover, sisters Doris (Avery) Calvert, and Margie (Ronald) Hale, sister-in-law Gail (Bill) Ridge- way, and brother-in-law Bob (Katrin- ka) Bryant, as well as a multitude
of nieces and nephews. Buddy now joins his parents, Ira & Geda Glover of Jones Chapel, in-laws Rev. James E.
& Eulene Bryant, and sisters Loretta (Robert) Tyree, Lorene (Bill) Powell, and Margaret (Benny Joe) Sterling in eternal rest.
Throughout his professional career, Buddy exemplified dedication and integrity. For 25 years, he served in various capacities at Piggly Wiggly Oneonta, leaving a lasting impact
on his colleagues and customers alike. His commitment to excellence continued as he proudly represented Golden Flake for 15 years, followed by 17 years of service at Glover Wrecker Service, owned by his son, Greg Glover.
Beyond his professional endeav- ors, Buddy found immense joy in his passions. A devoted Auburn Football fan, he cheered passionately for his team, embodying the spirit of loyalty and enthusiasm. His love for sports extended to baseball, where he found delight in cheering on his grandsons and great-grandsons. But perhaps his greatest joy was found in the great outdoors, where he reveled in camp- ing and fishing adventures shared with cherished family and friends.
Buddy's life was celebrated in a beautiful funeral service at Mountain Pointe Ministries on Sunday, May 5, followed by a heartfelt graveside cer- emony at Oakhill Cemetery, Oneonta. Guided by Pat Bryant, Randy Hale, and Bob Bryant, the service honored Buddy's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
Pallbearers, including Bran- don Glover, Ryan Glover, Rodney Ridgeway, Scott Ridgeway, Ronnie
Chastain, Top Walker, Ricky Box, Pat Bryant, along with Honorary Pall- bearers Caleb & Andrew Glover, car- ried Buddy to his final resting place, a testament to the profound impact he had on those around him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kind- ly requests that donations be made in Buddy's memory to Mountain Pointe Ministries. As his memory lives on
in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him, Buddy's legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire and uplift for generations to come.
