Emily Ruth Estes Tish

EMILY RUTH ESTES TISH, 74, of Oneonta, passed away on April 12, 2024.

Emily provided decades of service as a music educator, preschool director, and a classically trained vocalist. She was president of the Alabama Library Association from 2012 to 2013. Under her tenure and after years of tireless effort as the Director of the Trussville Public Library, the facility underwent a massive renovation and expansion in 2018.

She is preceded in death by parents Thurman Hubert and Ruth Alldredge Estes; brother James Alldredge Estes. She is survived by husband Stephen Randolph Tish; daughter Amy Michele Tish; brother Dr. David Edwin Estes (Dr. Karen Bartsch).
