RUTH LANDIS MOOREHOUSE, 77, of Oneonta, Ala., entered her Heavenly home on Friday, April 5, 2024. She was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Sanford H. and Thelma Neff Landis. She was a member of Faith Chapel Church where she sang in the choir for many years. In the past several years she attended Union Hill Baptist Church. She spent most of her life in the restaurant business and retired as a manager of the local Pizza Hut. Her hobbies included spending time with her family, reading, playing games with her family, and attending Gospel Singings.

She is survived by children Vicki and Ricky Price of Oneonta, Ala., and Scott and Mindy Evans of Oneonta, Ala.; stepsons Michael Moorehouse of Franklin, Ohio., and Jason Moorehouse of Pell City, AL.; stepdaughter Renee and Gene Webster of Vincent, AL.; grandchildren Justin, Ashley and Kaylee Price, Destiny, Matthew and Jace Evans, John Thomas and Adrianna Webster, Hayden Thompson, Christian, James and Eastin Moorehouse; 2 great grandchildren; brother Richard and Linda Landis of Newark, DE.; sister Marian and Marvin Harnish of New Holland, PA. and several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded by her husbands Ivan Evans and L. Gene Moorehouse and her parents.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Lemley Funeral Chapel in Oneonta, AL. with Brother Paul Richey presiding. Burial followed in Blount Memory Gardens in Oneonta, AL., with Justin Price, Matthew Evans, Eastin Moorehouse, Anthony Harnish, Jason Moorehouse, John Thomas Webster, Nick Randolph, and Jace Evans (honorary) serving as pallbearers.
