Calvin William Butler

Calvin William Butler, age 84 of Holly Springs, passed away May 30, 2026. He retired from Birmingham Water Works, and he was land surveyor. He was also a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Blountsville.

 He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Dobbs Butler; parents Vurner and Vivian Butler; brothers Wayne Butler, Johnny Butler, and Jerry Butler.

 He is survived by his son Danny Butler (Tabitha); daughter Tracy Bryant (James); grandchildren Mandy Butler, Jennifer Butler, Ashley Bryant, James Bryant III, and Dillon Butler; great-grandchildren Dana Bean, Jeremy Bean Jr., Madilynn Garrett, James Bryant IV, Jessica Bearden, and Jason Harris.

 The family received friends Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Lemley Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. A funeral service was held in the chapel beginning at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Aaron and Rev. Paul Kelley presiding. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery. 

Asked to serve as pallbearers were David Butler, Mark Butler, Melvin Dobbs, Lynn Cook, Travis Cook, and Trey Cook. Honorary Pallbearer Jeremy Bean Jr.
