Larry Virgil Glasscock

Larry Virgil Glasscock, age 77, of Remlap, passed away peacefully at 3:10 a.m. May 18, 2026.
 Larry was born Oct. 11, 1948, on Pine Mountain in Remlap where he spent most of his life. He graduated from Locust Fork High School and was known by all who met him as one of the kindest men you could ever know. It would be hard to find anyone who did not love Larry Glasscock.
 Larry loved his family deeply, especially his wife, Jane Glasscock, whom he married in 1991. Their love story was one of devotion and sacrifice. After Jane suffered a stroke, Larry faithfully cared for her for 11 years while continuing to work a full-time job. His dedication, strength, and unconditional love left a lasting impression on everyone around him.
 In 2018, Larry moved in with his daughter Judy and son-in-law Shane, where he continued to be surrounded by love and family.
 Larry was preceded in death by his father Virgil Glasscock; his mother Evelyn Glasscock; his beloved wife Jane Glasscock; and his nephew Jason Glasscock.
 He is survived by his daughter Judy Snead (Shane); his sons Greg Wanninger (Gia), and Bobby Wanninger (Alanna); his brother Neil Glasscock; his niece Courtney Glasscock; and his many beloved grandchildren Evan Wanninger, Corbin Clendenin, Vanson Clendenin, Sterling Wanninger, Case Wanninger, Cutter Wanninger, Trinity Wanninger, Fisher Wanninger, Journey Wanninger, and Ryder Wanninger. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Charlie Clendenin and Tate Wanninger.
 Larry’s life was a true example of kindness, hard work, loyalty, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed by so many whose lives were made better simply by knowing him.
 The family received friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Lemley Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A funeral service was held in the chapel beginning at 11 a.m. with Tim Kennum presiding. Burial followed in Pleasant Mount Cemetery. Lemley Funeral Home is honored to serve this family.
